The Spirit of Halloween

Just a simple spiritual thought....
It is so easy to get wrapped up into the roles that we play day to day, meeting all our responsibilities. But all of the hats you put on to execute your obligations are just outfits to put on and take off. Underneath, inside, is the real you. The soul and core personality you came to this planet with, to live out your life. That is who you really are. That is who you want to be. That is the outfit you want to put on and wear. Believe it or not, it is better than any other.

The costumes you put on, and the roles that you play, are learned behaviors. That doesn’t make them right or wrong. It just means that some one else taught you this is the way they do it, and you took it on. You learned how to put that costume on, and play out its role. It may have gotten you through, but it may not be the best for you.
 

And a simple spiritual suggestion...
Next time you are challenged and struggling for solutions, take a moment to touch base with who you really are, who you really want to be. Shed the layers of costumes and get to the core. If you could be the best “you” you would like to be, how would that “you” handle things? Your solution lies in that answer.

Take Halloween as a time to notice the costumes and roles that you use. Ask yourself does it serve who you really are and choose to be? If not…change it. How would the “you” you would like to be, respond to the challenge you face? Step into that “you’s” shoes. Choose what costume to put on, what behavior suits you, what attitude befits you…and change your life, for surely “The Ultimate Source” will respond, and begin to shift your reality to match your focus, and before you know it, you will be living your solutions.
